About laser therapy
We use high-energy therapeutic laser therapy, which enables precise tailoring of protocols according to the patient’s injury status. The laser gives us the ability to apply different power ranges and is therefore suitable for a wide range of post-operative conditions, tendinopathies, and tendinitis. The Summus laser provides 1300 phased treatment protocols developed by experts in medicine and pathophysiology.
Our patients notice an improvement of their pain condition after just 1 or 2 therapies with the Summus high-energy therapeutic laser, often requiring between 5 and 10 therapies for a complete treatment combined with therapeutic exercise. If the pain is chronic, we combine Summus laser therapy with kinesiology therapy over a period of 3 months.
The use of a therapeutic laser is a well-established method in modern physiotherapy for the treatment of chronic and traumatic conditions in the acute phase. The new generation of Summus laser that we use also makes it possible to effectively treat injuries to muscle function, such as a muscle strain or tear.
The therapeutic laser achieves a biostimulating effect, meaning that it improves the body’s self-healing processes locally in the injury area. Laser therapy is non-invasive, and the patient typically experiences a warmer sensation in the irradiated area when a probe with a laser beam is applied to the painful area. The higher intensity of the laser allows us to accelerate the healing of micro-injuries at the cellular level.
